Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Airport is Rome’s main airport with a choice of city transfer options including airport train, bus, shuttle and city cabs.
Leonardo Express Airport Train
The Leonardo Express is the easiest and fastest public transport service connecting Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Airport and Termini Station, the main public transport hub for Rome. Leonardo Express is a dedicated nonstop train, which runs every 15 minutes; the journey takes 30 minutes.
The first departure from Fiumicino is at 6.36 and from Roma Termini at 5.52.
The last departure from the Airport is at 23.36 and from Roma Termini at 22.52.

Ticket machines, official ticket desk and independent outlets sell tickets (One Way Fare: € 14). No prior booking is required.
Note : The station has three platforms and other local trains also terminate here. So do check which platform the next Leonardo Express train departs from, even if there is only one train in the station.
The FR1 train city provides a stopping service circling around the South of Rome, from Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Airport, in the West to the eastern suburbs. Along the way it interchanges with other FR services, the Rome Metro and countless local bus and tram routes. However it doesn’t go into the Termini Station, but you can connect to another FR1 train which does. One Way Fare (to Ostiense train Station): € 8.FR1 Local Train
Note: You cannot use Rome public transport passes to/from Fiumicino Airport
Terravision Airport Bus
The Terravision Bus is the cheapest public transport option between the airport and Termini Station. This is about a third of the cost of the Leonardo Express but Journey takes about twice as long and is not as frequent. One Way Fare: € 6. Online booking ticket: € 4 one way.

From Ciampino Airport to Rome

There are two competing airport bus services from Ciampino to Termini Station. There is also a local bus from Ciampino Airport that connects the airport with the southern tip of Rome’s Metro system.
Terravision Airport Bus
From Ciampino, one direct link to Termini Station is the Terravision coach service. It is heavily promoted by the airlines flying into Ciampino. Journey Duration: 40 – 60 Minutes.
Ciampino Airport – On exiting customs turn left going through the doors outside. Bear left and there is a coach stand on your left. There will probably be a Terravision rep.
Rome Termini Station – In Rome the terminus is on the East side of Termini Station, where all the competing bus services from Ciampino terminate. Terravision has a formal ticket office and waiting room inside the Terracafe, Terravision’s own cafe and bar.
At both Termini and Ciampino there are Terravision employees with Terravision jackets whom have sole responsibility for boarding of buses.
Note: when you arrive here for a bus, even if you have booked in advance its important to queue up and get a boarding card for your bus.
Ticketing – If you order on-line, you select an individual departure time which reserves you a seat on the bus. If for any reason you miss the bus you booked the ticket is still valid for a later departure. One Way Fare: € 4.
SIT Airport Bus
The SIT bus is an almost identical service to the Terravision bus. Same price, virtually same bus and frequencies, and bus stops at Termini and Ciampino just a few yards apart.
